Please keep in mind that in order to be eligible for Medicare rebates and the safety net, you will need a valid referral at all times during your treatment with us.

Referrals from a specialist or consultant physician are only valid for three (3) months. At the end of this three-month period your out-of-pocket costs will increase unless you provide a further updated referral.

Referrals from general practitioners may cover any period of time. We suggest that you obtain a referral from your GP to your Fertility Specialist and have it marked 'Indefinite'. Referrals marked in this way will last a lifetime.

It is in your financial interests to check your referral details and ensure you maintain a valid referral at all times during your treatment with us.

Your referral should:

• be on behalf of both partners;
• specify the name, address and provider number of the doctor writing the referral;
• be dated before day one (start of period) of the female partner's menstrual cycle prior to treatment;
• specify the length of coverage of referral, eg. indefinite, 12 months, or 3 months.
